For Universities

The focus and organisational structure of universities is changing at an increasing rate in modern times.

• Changes driven by increased focus on the student as a ‘customer’.
• Increasing tensions between research and teaching responsibilities
• The student profile, as a result of widening participation and increasing numbers of international students.
• Further changes are imminent as the government implements policy making body restructures and cuts to funding.

To be successful, universities will have to capitalise on their most valuable assets – their employees. Positive people with pro-active attitudes and strong customer focussed skills will be the key to success in the future.

With my knowledge of working with various stakeholders within Higher Education, my specialism in lifelong learning and my experience and qualifications as a career coach, I can design and deliver training that is specifically tailored to the needs of your university.  Below are some examples, but training can be tailored to meet your specific needs:

• Adjust quickly in times of personal or organisational change
• Make smooth transitions – returning to work, promotion or redundancy
• Be pro-active and contribute directly to the organisation’s success
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Promote a culture of equality and recognise diversity
• Establish and maintain employee wellbeing
• And lots more, contact me to discuss your requirements.

1:1 coaching sessions
My career coaching experience has predominantly been supporting the career development of postgraduate researchers and research staff, I have therefore gained a deep understanding of the particular challenges facing researchers in managing their careers – academic or otherwise.  Whilst I have used my coaching skills and learning extensively with career coaching and have supported people to achieve amazing things, the principles applied to career coaching apply to coaching in general, starting with where you are, exploring where you might like to be and identifying ways to move forward.  So I am excellently placed to support any employee who would benefit from coaching through change.  If this is something you would like to explore please email Eve to arrange a convenient time to discuss.  (eveuhlig@gmail.com).
